Our guides took us through incredible landscapes, ravines and gorges, into local villages and tavernas to experience the real Cretan culture, food and unspoilt beaches. Camille & Iakovos's knowledge of the area gave us a real insight.

Overview

Spend your time doing yoga and hiking at one of the most beautiful places of the Mediterranean along with relaxing and spending your day either swimming in the sea of chilling with a book. Besides this, our Yoga and Hiking Holiday is organized in Kissamos in the western Crete which is a part of the European Programme NATURA 2000. This means the area focuses on protecting its rich natural heritage and promotes eco-tourism.

Being highly mindful about protecting the environment, we only leave green footprints during our walks as there is no need for private transport. Our walks are also full of archaeological, historical, botanical, and artistic marvels. Depending on the holiday dates, our guests get to stay in different top-rated hotels with a swimming pool and gardens.

Program Description

In this holiday week, we will incorporate the following:

  • Five mornings and five evenings of yoga and meditation sessions.
  • From 1.5 to 4 hours leisurely paced walks four times. These walks will be of light to medium difficulty and will take place along the beautiful beaches, in the hills, the valleys, the town of Kissamos, and the surrounding area. You will pass by the traditional villages and little-known ancient sites.
  • Each expedition will start and end at the hotel and each walk will have regular rest stops.

*You always have the freedom to opt out of any of the walks or yoga and meditation sessions.

What to bring along: sunglasses, sun hat, sun cream, strong walking shoes, small rucksack, and of course swimming costume.
