The yoga week program is designed to recharge your energy batteries and truly tart up your body and mind to leave your feelings inspired, refreshed, centered, and peaceful. You will receive daily yoga classes while still having plenty of free time to rest, socialize with new and old friends, enjoy the tours and excursions, and also enjoy delicious vegetarian meals.

This retreat will take place at the Axarquia region, which is situated in the eastern part of the province of Málaga. Competa is an inland village in the Axarquia, which is a small region, well-known for the Andalusian legacy of Muslim rule. The location is a privileged tourist destination surrounded by olive groves, almond trees, and a 4000-hectare wildlife reserve in Sierra Almijara, just 15 to 20 kilometres from the main tourist attractions of the Costa del Sol, including the beaches (a nudist beach is very near if required) of Torre del Mar, the famous caves of Nerja, and within striking distance of Granada, Sierra Nevada, and other places of interest
Throughout these retreats, you will be focusing on different guided meditations every day in the morning and evening to teach your mind how to relax and focus on silence within. The aim is to help you return with a more positive and happy mindset. There will be different series of Asanas and Kriyas taught to you every day designed to slowly open up the whole body over five days so that by the last day of the retreat, every muscle within your body feels open, alive, relaxed, rejuvenated, and energized.
Note that all the classes are all optional during your yoga retreats. You are given the chance to develop at your own pace and to enjoy your stay as much as possible, in order to become healthy in mind and body, to learn how to relax and deal with stress, and to learn how to feel at one with yourself.
Exercise, meditation, and relaxation
Each morning at 08:00, there will be a meditation and yoga session while every evening, there will be a yoga session. Attendance to both of these is highly recommended as these are designed to assist in your detoxification process. During the detoxification process, blockages, and tensions held in the physical, mental, and emotional levels of the body are released. These practices help you to let go of them, to relax properly, and to sleep more comfortably.
During the day, you can relax, swim, have a therapy session, explore, and walk around the area and even help out in the organic gardens. -Your yoga structure .At your yoga retreat center, the aim is to help you develop your health, learn relaxation techniques, and learn meditation in order for you to deal with stress, improve the quality of your life, your happiness, and your sense of well-being. You will be taught meditation, asana (posture), chanting, and breathing techniques.
You will be asked at the beginning of each yoga retreat what areas you want to develop in. Your yoga retreat will be personalized according to your wants and needs for your own development, whether you are a new or established student of yoga.
Your yoga teacher will be using highly developed teaching system during each class. Your yoga retreat center will be run specifically as a Shala - a place of refuge and a place to find inner peace. Yoga Eco Oasis will be a perfect place to escape the stresses of the modern world and develop a sense of peace, calm, well-being, and happiness. This powerful program is based on the five-point with a personal approach to helping people to attend this five points. Yoga in the community will be used to stimulate body and mind awareness and help you out in how to work in the group with more effective and loving methods.
The five points of yoga
Proper exercise .The yogic physical exercises are called Asana, a term which means steady pose. The body is as young as it is flexible. So initially, your concern is simply to increase body flexibility and strength. The Asana also affect the internal organs and the endocrine system (glands and hormones).
Proper breathing: Yoga teaches us how to use the lungs to their maximum capacity and how to control the breath. Proper breathing should be deep, slow, and rhythmical. This increases vitality and mental clarity. -
Proper relaxation : When the body and the mind are constantly overworked, their natural efficiency to perform work diminishes. Modern social life, food, and work make it difficult for people to relax. Many have even forgotten that rest and relaxation are nature’s way of recharging. In order to achieve perfect relaxation, three methods are used by yogis - physical, mental, and spiritual relaxation.
Proper diet : Besides being responsible for building your physical body, the food you eat profoundly affects your mind. You will know the basis of a yogic diet to help you attain a high standard of health, keen intellect, and serenity of mind.
Positive thinking and meditation :
Here is the most important point of all, you become what you think. You should maintain positive and creative thoughts, as these will contribute to vibrant health and a peaceful, joyful mind. The mind will be brought under perfect control by regular practice of mindfulness meditation. When you experience happiness is because you have achieved perfect concentration at a time, then all the worries and problems of the world disappeared.
On the physical level, meditation helps to prolong the body’s anabolic process of growth and repair. It has been scientifically proved, that meditation brings about a prolonged positive state of mind, it rejuvenates body cells and retards decay. If you meditate for half an hour daily, the mind and body become calm and steady and you will be able to face life with peace and spiritual strength. Community yoga or yoga in a community is the future of yoga.
You are used to practicing yoga in a personal way but now you have to share your self with others, that is the real meaning of yoga (union). This practice is accessible to all skill levels. It is about meeting people, connecting, communicating, and having fun, all of this while you are reaping the benefits of a real yoga practice, i.e., strength, balance, and flexibility. You will be shown everything you need to know to combine your yoga poses with others (partner or a group) and create fascinating geometrical shapes that are fun and connective. Community yoga integrates Hatha yoga and Iyengar, partner yoga, Yoga Nidra and meditation.

Note that three rooms have twin single beds which would suit two female travellers wanting to share or two friends booking at the same time and two rooms have double beds and are for couples or family members. Single person supplements are also available or there is the option to share with another female yoga student if you are also a female yoga student. We can arrange this for you in one of the three rooms and it is a great way to make a new friend.

The aim of this retreat is to teach you not only yoga to an excellent level, but also to teach you about health and nutrition with the best knowledge available in the world. The teachers on this retreat are experts in nutrition. Jose has degree in health related areas, from Health Science Institute of Austin Texas USA. He uses his knowledge of health to design and plan recipes as well as menus that will be used for the yoga and nutrition retreat. Ana has developed a vast repertoire of nutitional knowledge as a result of practising vegan cooking for the past few years. As a result of their combined experience this week will be full of delicious and healthy recipes. There will also be workshops on nutrition and on healthy cooking.
The emphasis will be on locally grown organic fresh fruit and vegetables as well wholemeal foods, antioxidants and low-glycaemic living. You will be taught, explained how to make the healthiest food. You will also be given the healthiest and most delicious food that exists all based on the most highly educated knowledge on the planet.
You will be explained the health benefits of all the foods we use – the locally produced organic food that is free of pesticides, foods made from spelt and we are sure you will agree that you will return feeling like you have learnt the best secrets of healthy cooking, living and practising yoga.
