During this retreat, you would practice Yoga (Hatha, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Iyengar), twice a day in our beatiful center, in the middle of the mountains but with some wonderfull views to the mediteranean sea and if the weather permits the seings as well to the north of Africa and to cook healthy food great to heal and nourish your body.

This retreat will take place at the Axarquia region - situated in the eastern part of the province of Málaga. Competa is an inland village in the Axarquia, well-known for the Andalusian legacy of Muslim rule.

The location is a privileged tourist destination surrounded by olive groves, almond trees, and a 4000-hectare wildlife reserve in Sierra Almijara, just 15 to 20 kilometres from the main tourist attractions of the Costa del Sol, including the beaches of Torre del Mar, the famous caves of Nerja, and within striking distance of Granada, Sierra Nevada, and other places of interest.

The aim is to help you return with a more positive and happy mindset. There will be different series of Yin and Yang based Vinyasa taught to you every day, with Yang every morning and Yin every evening, designed to slowly open up the whole body over five days so that by the last day of the retreat, every muscle within your body feels open, alive, relaxed, rejuvenated, and energized.

Free to do or attend retreat:  Note that all the classes are all optional during your yoga retreats. Yoga Eco Oasis wants you to develop at your own pace and they want you to enjoy your stay. They want you to enjoy your yoga retreats as much as possible, to become healthy in mind and body, to learn how to relax and deal with stress, and to learn how to feel at one with yourself.

Exercise, meditation, and relaxation:  Each morning at 08:00, there will be a meditation and yoga session while every evening, there will be a meditation session. Attendance to both of these is highly recommended as these are designed to assist in your detoxification process. During the detoxification process, blockages, and tensions held in the physical, mental, and emotional levels of the body are released. These practices help you to let go of them, to relax properly, and to sleep more comfortably. %During the day, you can relax, swim, have a therapy session, explore, and walk around the area, and even help out in the organic gardens.

Your yoga structure: At the yoga retreat center, their aim is to help you develop your health, learn relaxation techniques, and learn meditation to help you to deal with stress, improve the quality of your life, your happiness, and your sense of well-being. On your yoga retreats, you will be taught meditation, asana (posture), chanting, and breathing techniques. All classes will be optional, as they want you to enjoy your stay and develop at your own pace. You will be asked at the beginning of each yoga retreat what areas you want to develop in.

The yoga retreat will be personalized according to your wants and needs for your own development whether you are a new or established student of yoga. Your yoga teacher will be using his highly developed teaching system during each class at the yoga retreat at Yoga Eco Oasis to teach yoga. Your yoga retreat center will be run specifically as a shala, which is a place of refuge and a place to find inner peace.

Conscious healthy cuisine cooking class

Learning to prepare healthy and delicious recipes can be an enjoyable experience. Yoga Eco Oasis will share new ingredients and many recipes to prepare meals to please your senses. During your holiday, they want to share with you a cooking experience and will prepare many recipes to sample together in a cozy, friendly atmosphere. To prove that healthy food is not boring, they will dedicate one class a day for three days to discover new ingredients, recipes, and flavors to turn meals into a feast. When you return home, everyone will admire your new culinary proposals.

You will be able to learn, to prepare, and sample typical dishes from Spanish and international cuisine to please even the most discerning gourmets. Vegetables paste, sauces, entrees, salads, rice, pasta, soups, and a whole range of options to add to your culinary delights to help you and your guests enjoy healthy meals without giving up flavor. Besides learning new recipes, you will open your mind to new ingredients to lend a delicious flavor and nutritional balance to your meals.

You will discover the richness of colors, flavors, textures, and aromas of meals that you will enjoy in a peaceful atmosphere in harmony with others. Together, you will contribute ideas to prepare dishes that will stand out and surprise your guests. With seaweeds, dry fruits, and sprouted seeds on the menu, your dishes will gain flavor and nutritional value. For a smoother touch, you can add a dairy substitute to your meals. You will learn how to prepare a fluffy pastry mixture without refined sugar for cakes that will delight the young and grownups. Vegan cookery can be fun and entertaining and its great variety can stimulate your imagination and provide an opportunity to learn new culinary techniques. You will take into account the changes over the last few years with regards to vegetarian cooking, whose increasing demand has raised the availability of ingredients and the expectations of guests. Yoga Eco Oasis uses seasonal vegetables and chemical free products that are organically grown and are healthy for you and good for the environment. They obtain their produce from small local organic farmers committed to sustain and enhance the health of soil, plants, animal, and human life. This way, besides contributing to maintain a healthier environment, they obtain all the nutrients they need and avoid consuming harmful chemical residues. You are welcome to visit some of their organic farms to see first-hand how eco-farmers tend the soil to obtain healthy natural produce with the authentic flavors you enjoyed before the introduction of pesticides when you could taste real vegetables and tomatoes. To all the aforementioned of good ingredients, authentic flavors, good recipes, a pleasant environment, and a welcoming atmosphere and harmony, you only need another essential indispensable ingredient for good cooking, which is love.

    Throughout these retreats, you will be focusing on different guided meditations every day in the morning and evening to teach your mind to relax and focus on silence within.

3 rooms have twin single beds for twin sharing. They are for two travelers/ friends booking at the same time or two female travelers looking to share the room and cut down on costs.

2 rooms have double beds and are suited for couples or families.

Single-person supplements are also available.

The aim of this retreat is to help the patrons achieve the standards of holistic living. We focus not just on teaching yoga, but also on making the yogis aware of health and nutrition with the best knowledge available in the world. The teachers on this retreat are experts in nutrition, and, as a result, the week that you spend here will be full of delicious and healthy recipes. We will also conduct workshops on nutrition and healthy cooking.

The emphasis will be on locally grown organic fresh fruits and vegetables as well as wholemeal foods, antioxidants, and low-glycaemic living.

You will be explained the health benefits of the food we use – the locally produced organic food that is free of pesticides and foods made from spelt. You will return feeling like you have learned the best secrets of healthy cooking, living and practicing yoga.
