This Love Yourself, Love Your Life Retreat provides a well-rounded retreat experience to help realign and balance your body, mind, spirit, and life. This is done through the careful balance of time spent on yoga, meditation and contemplation, Ayurvedic knowledge and treatments, cultural outings and day trips, as well as time to swim, rest, shop, and just Be. What better place than here, in the un-touristy shores of Northern Kerala, to submerge yourself in both these sacred living arts?

Core Subject: Yoga and Meditation teacher
Lucilla is an Australian yoga and meditation teacher gone nomadic. She has been teaching for 12 years but living and breathing the essence of life a lot longer. She is a level 2 teacher with Yoga Australia Association and has studied with her two favorite teachers, Shiva Rea and Donna Farhi. She has become an advocate for Ayurveda, deepening her knowledge through more formally studying it in India. At the moment, she has turned nomadic, traveling, and teaching around Asia and beyond.
Set in the northern region of Kerala, your accommodation is set on the Arabian Sea. Though this retreat has two settings, there are both very close to each other so there is little effort in your relocation.
The first setting is right on Thottada Beach, and the second setting is just a few minutes walk from the shoreline of Aadikadalayi beach. Both these beaches are very local and still have traditional fishing done from their shores. The fishing from Thottdada beach is done from inner tire tubes that they swim out with.
This retreat gives you the time to reflect about life at home and the tools to make the changes that may be required, all while having a vibrate holiday feel that regenerates and inspires. India is the Motherland to yoga and Kerala is the birthplace of Ayurveda, so where better to be than here.
Each day the schedule may differ a little. Most mornings will start around 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and evening yoga will be around 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We will focus more on rest, rejuvenation, and treatments for the first five days and then focus more on cultural activities and outings on the second half of the retreat.

This retreat has two styles of accommodation for a more complete Indian experience. The first half of the retreat is spent in a homestay-style bungalow setting. Choose between single or shared accommodation for your comfort and budget needs. Blue Mermaid is set right on the beachfront of a beautifully clean and private beach. The yoga shala is set under the beautiful tall palm trees.
This is where we spend more time resting and receiving Ayurveda treatments. The second half of the retreat is set in a converted family home (belonging to the owner of the bigger resort-style accommodation of which we can also use the facilities.
Here, we all stay together in this villa which is set in a working organic garden, where much of the food you eat is grown. This place gives more a family or village feel and where you will focus your time more on cultural outings.
All Breakfast and Dinners included and most Lunches.
The food is locally inspired food from mamma's homemade recipes. These are traditional Indian vegetarian style with dairy and fish options as we are right on the seafront.
Food is made by the owner of the accommodation and she is very passionate about it. Food in Kerala is always fresh, seasonal, and local, this is the Ayurvedic way!
