Overview

Doshas include Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, which according to Ayurveda are one of the most foundational concepts. Each dosha function in a specific way in the body. A close study of the doshas can help in understanding a person’s strengths and weaknesses along with recognizing and correcting imbalances.

Vata, in particular, consists of the elements air and ether and symbolizes the energy of movement. From the flow of the breath, pulsation of the heart to tissue movements, cellular mobility as well as communication throughout the mind and the nervous system, Vatadosha manages all movements. When imbalanced, this dosha can cause anxiety, fear, and loneliness along with causing abnormal movements such as muscle spasms and tremors.

This retreat will help in reconnecting to the true self and restore inner balance through rest, treatments, therapy, talks, lifestyle plans, singing, chanting, dancing, and a lot more.

Liliana – Liilamaya

Core Subject: Yoga Teacher (E-Ryt500) And Ayurvedic Treatments
Liillmaya was born in Bogota, Colombia. She moved to Canada for studies at the age of 15 and went on to establish herself as a fitness professional. She has immersed herself in the study of Ayurveda since 2009. Currently, she is E-RYT500 & E-RYT-200 for Yoga Alliance with 16 years of experience hosting yoga teacher training and yoga retreats internationally. To add to this, she writes for Elephant Journal and Gaian TV and actively contributes to several yoga blogs. Her mantra is - “Nurture your Nature”. Aum Shanti.”

Location

The retreat mostly takes place in the stunning Ibiza, Spain in the quiet country-side. The location is far away from city’s noise and busy life, which allow the participants to calm their minds and benefit from the natural surroundings. The property offers ample cozy spaces to relax or read a book.

Also, enjoy walking while picking fresh herbs, local oranges, figs, almond, and cherries. After the morning yoga sessions which are followed by brunch and lunch, the participants get ample time to explore the beach, take horseback riding classes or do anything they want. With breathtaking turquoise water and white sand, Ibiza is the perfect destination to unwind and rejuvenate your body and soul.

Curriculum

Friday Night

  • Enjoy tea and snacks upon arrival.
  • Take a walk around the property.
  • Dinner will be served at 8pm following which there will be a cozy and welcoming circle, introductions, and logistics.
  • Experience yoga Nidra before retiring to bed.

Saturday

  • Tea according to your Dosha will be given upon waking.
  • Yoga sessions at 8 in the morning followed by breakfast at 9:45am.
  • From 10 to noon rest, walking treatments, therapy and one-on-one sessions.
  • Lunch will be served by 12:30pm.
  • Ayurveda talk to understand your dosha and why it is out of balance from 2-3:30pm where lifestyle plans will be handed out.
  • We gather at 4:30 PM to head over to St Ignes to breathe some seriously gorgeous fresh prana campo air and witness the glorious almond blossoming amongst the evergreen pastures.
  • Dinner will be served at 7 PM.
  • Music, singing, chanting, dancing or down-time after dinner.

    Sunday
     
  • Dosha tea will be ready upon waking.
  • Yoga at 8am and breakfast at 9:45am.
  • Closing circle with cacao and chanting.

What Makes This Program Special?

People with a prevalence of Vata dosha are agile and usually thin. When this dosha is imbalanced, it leads to hypertension, constipation, weight loss, weakness, arthritis, and digestive challenges.

In Ayurveda, Vata dosha is considered the leader of the three doshas and Pitta and Kapha doshas cannot move without it. Hence, it becomes very important to keep Vata in a good balance. At this wonderful retreat, the participants will learn to properly balance Vata dosha through herbal, dietary, and lifestyle changes which include teas, yoga, treatment, and organic and delicious food.

Slow down, meditate, eat healthily and take proper rest at this retreat to ground Vata and not get carried away into the ethers.
