WOW ~ Feeling super blessed and empowered from recently completing a Reiki Mastery course at Pura Vida with the incredible Dr. Ann West, as well as spending an entire month here. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to break away from the city life to experience such tranquility in paradise! Where to begin ~ Pura Vida is located right on the ocean with the jungle just behind you...To hear the ocean waves so consistently is incredibly soothing to the soul. The casitas (rooms) are gorgeous; each one unique and beautifully built. The staff here are welcoming and highly knowledgable in many healing modalities with a variety of offerings and services.
The food is fresh, healthy and delicious! All prepared by a few local sweetheart sisters that never disappoint. Every meal has been comforting and uplifting! They recently added some brand new yoga equipment (as i just read the negative review mentioning weathered mats)...There is also lovely essential oil spray

Learn Reiki amidst the serene ambiance of Mexico and fulfill your desire for healing yourself and others. An astounding form of alternative medicine, the origin of Reiki is said to be as old as humankind. The particular form we offer is the Usui System of Reiki Healing. Mexico is one ideal place to learn the art of alternative medication including yoga, meditation, Reiki and more, and paves the way for relishing and rejuvenating oneself. We offer six days Reiki learning and practice classes under the esteemed guidance of Reiki Master Dr. Ann West who bestows upon you the teaching of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree of Training.
Reiki 1
The first degree includes the spiritual teaching with healing attunement, Reiki 1 attunement, hand positions for the healing of self and others, meditation, an overview of seven main Chakras and learning of the principles of Reiki. Attain the understanding of Reiki for self-healing and healing others. Learn how this ancient practice of palm healing helps the body to innate healing itself and results in wellness, relaxation and body balance. Know about the limitless benefits of energy balancing, the importance of maintaining it and supporting health.
Reiki 2
During the second degree, the teaching integrates symbols of Distant Healing and Mental/Emotional Healing. The class expands on the techniques taught in Reiki1 and assimilates the student to a higher level of energy.
Reiki 3
The session referred to as the Advanced Reiki Training or ART, which includes heightened techniques to deepen the learning and understanding of Reiki healing.

Daily Curriculum
- The three degrees of studies Reiki 1, 2 and 3 includes the intensified learning and understanding of the palm healing.
- Attain the knowledge of complete Tibetan/Usui Master attunement.
- Learn about the instruction on how to give Reiki attunements for Reiki 1, 2 and 3 (ART) and Reiki Master Teacher.
- Attain oneness and harmonize the energy of chakras with Meditation practice.
- The inclusion of class materials, two Tibetan Symbols, class manual - includes the detailed steps for giving all the attunements.
- Acquire the learning on how to give attunements to yourself.
- Good time allocated for the self-practice of the attunement.
