    In her teachings and retreat programmes, she combines biomechanics- and alignment-based asana practice with resistance work and myofascial release, infusing the practice with pranayama and meditative awareness techniques.


Stunning yoga retreat in peaceful Moroccan desert overlooking majestic Atlas Mountains. Enjoy a secluded, private and unforgettable yoga escape in the desert while being guided by 2 experienced yoga teachers Elena Mironov and Karina Højgaard.

A typical day in the retreat will include 2 or 3 classes a day. We will start the day at 7am with a yoga class, then have a pre lunch pranayama or meditation, and finish the day with an evening asana class followed by an optional self-lead meditation.

  • 7.30-9.00 : Morning yoga practice
  • 9.00-10.00 :  Breakfast
  • 10:00-12:00 :Time for rest, nap, pool, walks in the desert, spa treatments 
  • 12:00-12:30 : Guided meditation or pranayama practice
  • 12:30-14.00 : Lunch buffet
  • 14:00-17.30 : Time for rest, nap, pool, walks in the desert, spa treatments 
  • 17.30-19.00 : Evening yoga and/or meditation practice
  • 19.00-19.30 : Optional non-guided meditation by the fireplace in the yoga shala
  • 19.30-21.00 : Dinner

Our centre is built using traditional Berber methods. The rooms are warm and inviting, most feature a fireplace and all are furnished with stunning textiles crafted by our resident artist.

On the retreat you'll enjoy healthy vegetarian food influenced by the flavours of our host country. We will have breakfast after our morning yoga session, lunch by the pool and a 3 course dinner in our onsite restaurant.

You will have the option to take the complimentary shuttle bus to Marrakech for late morning-early afternoon to wander around the fascinating old medina. We will also have an optional trip to the Atlas mountains with a local guide. The trip will include a 2 hour transfer each way and a 4.5 hour guided walk around the mountains. This trip will incur an extra fee, dependant on how many guests take part.



Our centre is located in a Berber village, it's built using traditional building methods. It's luxurious yet inviting and homely. The perfect base for a yoga retreat.
