Beautiful setting for yoga Ever since my brother did his TT at Vikasa, I’ve been looking forward to experiencing their yoga offerings myself. Although we were staying in Bo Phut, we drove the 6 miles to attend a 2 hour 8AM class.
Yoga was what I expected it to be; a slower-paced vinyasa over-looking the beach. Honestly, not my favorite (I prefer a faster-paced, one breath / one movement kind of thing), but I realize that’s a very westernized way of practicing and I was happy to try something new.
My husband and I also had breakfast afterwards and the buffet was perfectly fine ... nothing extraordinary. However, I could completely understand how people could spend a week, month, etc. at this retreat, living this lifestyle. So glad I got to experience it myself finally.

Usual day at Yoga Training- Schedule for the three modules
- 07:00 AM - 09:15 AM: Asana and pranayama practice
- 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Healthy brunch buffet at Vikasa Life Café
- 01:00 PM - 02:00 PM: Group Dynamics / Self-study
- 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM: Theory / Methodology
- 04:00 PM - 06:15 PM: Yoga practice
- 06:30 PM - 08:30 PM: Healthy dinner buffet at Vikasa Life Cafe
There will be 1 day off per week, which is usually on Saturdays. The schedule may vary.
Yoga training at the center offers a wide range of accommodation facilities to have a comforting and leisurely experience in Thailand.
Ocean Rooms (Standard): Wake up to the sound of birds chirping and beautiful sunrise. The ocean room is designed for a convenient stay to rest and recharge. A relaxing stay awaits you, with a panoramic view of nature. The interiors of the rooms are different from the other rooms and are well-furnished.
Beach Bungalow (Standard): Feel close to nature during your stay at the beach bungalow. The rooms are modest, rustic, clean, and comfortable with direct beach access. The rooms are nicely designed with simple interiors and offer a spectacular sunrise view.
Beach Bungalow (Superior): The accommodation type features all the facilities that a Standard room consists of, but they’re bigger and spacious. They offer an amazing sea view from its terrace, making your living experience memorable.
Zen Bungalows: For those who are seeking tranquility, Zen Bungalows are traditionally built huts with local and natural materials. They provide you an opportunity to dwell and grow in yogic style living enjoying mesmerizing views. They offer a truly authentic experience and is ideal for solo travelers.
Yoga Caves: Experience an authentic Thai style living experience at the Yoga Cave, which is small, comfortable, and offers breathtaking views of sea and rocks below. Sleep, relax, meditate, or read at a peaceful personal space. The room type doesn’t have attached bathrooms.

Wholesome healthy meals are a perfect way to enhance the training and benefits of yoga. During the training program, enjoy consciously prepared buffet-style meals daily. Vegan and Vegetarian meals are catered here along with special dietary specific meals, if informed during reservations.
The day begins with a well-balanced and energizing brunch that includes: fresh juice, tea, coffee, whole grain toasts, oatmeal muesli with yogurt, chair seed pudding, boiled veggies, superfoods, organic dips, vegetable sandwiches, pancakes, and fresh tropical fruits.
In dinner, you’ll be served hot soup, typical local dishes with tofu, brown rice, vegetarian dishes, fresh salad, lentils, and more. Healthy desserts are also served like fruits and Thai desserts. Finish your meal with the center’s homemade signature tea.
The center also serves light snacks during afternoon breaks. All the food is prepared using fresh and organic produce and prepared by trained chefs.
