The participants of the meditation and yoga vacation retreat in Hawaii are welcomed to the beautiful house of Ohana. During the 3 day retreat, the Ohana abode will be your place of resting, comfort and rejuvenation. Rooms constructed with fine hardwoods and furnished with eclectic furnishings are offered to the students for complete revitalization and convenience. The covered walkways connect the hut to the main building having kitchen, lofts, daybeds that create a cozy feeling.

Venue:

The huts have been exclusively created for the souls coming on a meditation and yoga retreat with a mission in their heart. In an organic farm, the abode is a great refuge for the students to immerse in exploration, meditation and relaxation. It’s a prerogative for you to spend your 3 days in this abode which is homely and serene. The folks at Purna Organics are your neighbors whose hearts are filled with compassion and warmth. They are lovely Elvir and her husband along with the world-infamous organic ginger and turmeric farmer Biker Dude. The core of the retreat is the five hand-crafted island huts, constructed and dismantled in Bali, then shipped to the farm in Hawaii, where they are reconstructed beautifully.

The dismantled Bali huts are reconstructed with hardwoods and cedar for exquisiteness. The roof of the hut is crafted out of ironwood shakes that seem to be effortlessly suspended in a vented double-tiered architectural wonder that is both beautiful and practical. Each of the five huts is adorned with redwood deck facing the ocean and sunrise.  Thickly covered walkways connect your hut to the main house with 16-foot ceilings and polished pacific hardwood floors. The house has two well-equipped kitchens, loft, daybeds and extensive furnishing. In the master baths, river rocks and cedar embellish the double-headed rainwater showers. The center of the home has a large meeting room with polished Merbau (hardwood floor) and lots of glass-paned windows offering heart-touching views. Due to the interiors, the room is perfect for yoga practices, meetings, group study and dinners. The beautiful structure has an entire covered area of 3000 square feet, including the four baths. Also, there is an outdoor kitchen connected to the main house that provides you with the opportunity to cook meals without distractions for yourself and your loved ones. This abode makes for a sustainable farm life on a single paved road in a location tucked far away from the noises.

Your fresh water is sourced from 25,000 gallons of rainwater catchment and power is produced from state of the art solar system. The retreat is located in the manicured fruit orchard and is surrounded by gardens having lovely flowers and delectable vegetables. Such a lovely sight to behold! There is no telephone service, so it is an opportunity for you to go on a digital detox and connect to your soul--the true companion. Six miles away from the retreat lies Quaint Pahoa, where you can enjoy a variety of delicious eateries, a farmer market, a natural food store, internet cafe and small churches. The panoramic ocean view that you get to see from the hut is three miles away offering options of snorkeling, swimming, surfing. There are hot ponds and lava flows in close proximity. The highly recommended tourist spot is the Volcano National Park about 40 miles away.

Three meals a day are offered to the guests that are prepared from the juicy vegetables and fruits from the manicured gardens of the retreat. In the garden, the veggies are grown organically so that the food is enriched with nutrients and vitamins. The platter served contains an assortment of vegetarian dishes along with drinks like green tea, refreshing juices, herbal smoothies and more. The vegetables are garnished with Ayurveda spices for taste and health.

  • 100% Sattvic food which is tasty and healthy thrice a day
  • Excursions and sightseeing for a thrilling experience
  • A homely stay at the organic farm in the finely curated huts
