Ty Landrum is the director of the yoga workshop in Boulder, Colorado. He teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, which he learned from the great masters, Mary Taylor and Richard Freeman. He has been learning and practicing Ashtanga since 2005. He was first introduced to this practice by Jennifer Elliott at Ashtanga Yoga Charlottesville, where he practiced for almost seven years. After the completion of his degree in Philosophy from the University of Virginia, he moved to Boulder to study from Richard and Mary. Since then, he has learned many new things about the art of yoga.
The retreat will take place at Ubud, a quiet city in the heart of the Indonesian island of Bali, which is often called the Land of Spiritual Awakenings.
The town will represent an enchanting Balinese culture, beautiful temples, volcanoes, and signature rice paddies. In short, it is an excellent getaway to pure bliss.
Your program will revolve around Ashtanga Vinyasa practice, which is dynamic and physically demanding and synchronizes movement and breathe to create an internal heat meant to purify the body. The continuously changing movement and postures balancing will help in toning the body and building core strength.
The program will include morning Mysore practices, followed by chanting and pranayama, which will quickly balance your energy while allowing you to experience mindfulness. Your afternoon will be for the workshops and classes to make you deeply understand the theme. All the yoga equipment will be provided by the resort, so the only thing you need to focus on is relaxing and losing yourself in this immensely beautiful life-changing experience.
