M'Hamid is a small village in Zagora region of Morocco, 98 km after Zagora, one of the two places in Morocco where Sahara begins . M'Hamid isone of the authentic place in Morocco.It is about 7-8 hours by car from Marrakech and 5 hours from Ourzazate. It is "The end of the road" ,after it is only sands of Sahara, shepherds and caravan trails.
Day 1 : Departure from Marrakech / Ouarzazate – arrival at M’hamid
The first day of the yoga desert Morocco course is devoted to your journey between the arrival city (Marrakech, Ouarzazate, …) and the desert. A person from our team will welcome you in Marrakech or in Ouarzazate. You will then take the road to the Mhamid desert by bus or private vehicle (private minibus). Once arrived in Mhamid, you will find camels. The trip between the village of M’hamid and our desert camp will be camel ride. Arrive at camp, dinner and overnight in nomadic tents.
Day 2 to 5 : Practice of yoga in the desert of Morocco- nomad camp in the Sahara
The next 4 days will be devoted to the practice of yoga in the Sahara, meditation and free activities. The yoga course in the Morocco desert is led by a professional who will establish the daily schedule.
Possibility hiking in the desert during the day, between yoga classes to meditate further in the dunes, discover the Moroccan desert, … Lunch in the shade of tamarisks. Back to the bivouac in the afternoon.
Day 6 : Free Activities
The 6th day of your yoga desert Morocco, is devoted to free activites. On the last day of your stay, you will enjoy an evening around the campfire with traditional Saharawi music. For those who wish, you can enjoy a private hammam in the village.
Day 7 : Departure to Marrakech / Ouarzazate
After passing the last night of your yoga course in the desert of Morocco in our camp in M’hamid, the next day you will drive to Marrakech or Ouarzazate. For a yoga course and Morocco camel trek.
The accommodation is done in our desert private nomadic camp which is located at 6 km from the village of M'hamid, in a very quiet place. There are spacious nomadic tents which offer comfort.
There is a spacious open tent where meals will be served. From this tent, you have a very beautiful view of the surrounding dunes of the Sahara.
Meals are prepared on spot with local fresh products. We provide vegetarian and vegan meals to our participants. If you want we can also include the meat in your dish. Our Meals can be adapted on the diet of each of the participants.
