Kalliovi Giannakopoulou was born on the enchanting island of Amorgos where she spent all her early years learning everything about hotel management and hospitality by her own parents, Irene and Nikitas Giannakopoulos, the founders of the first 5-star hotel of the island, that opened its doors in the early 1990s as well as of Lalon Idor Spa in 2007, the first spa of Amorgos. As she loved physical exercise and the bliss this brings to the people practicing gymnastics, Kalliovi graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the early 2010s as an Aerobic Fitness Trainer and a Personal Trainer. She went on to study further on topics relevant to this degree and today she is also a certified Swedish Massage Therapist and a Yoga Trainer, having studied alongside the renowned Yoga teacher Caroline Klebl. Since 2010 she is in possession of a Certificate for 200 hours of Ashtanga Yoga.

Serenity has a home on Amorgos Island in Cyclades, Greece. Since antiquity, this secret paradise island has intrigued internationally curious travelers, traders and pilgrims. Tradition says the “Ancient Water Oracle” dedicated to Apollo was established here which compelled people throughout the Mediterranean to visit the geographically strategic island for advice, rejuvenation, and spiritual healing.
The island’s 6,000-year-old energy is palpable—with its rich ecological diversity, wondrous landscapes and revitalizing effects—symbolized by natural springs, caves, and the aforementioned ancient holy water oracle located in St. George Valsamitis, the stark white Byzantine monastery carved into the sloped mountainside.
This is an intensive 200 hour YTT, where you will learn a lot, challenge your self-limited beliefs and deepen your asana practice and yoga philosophy knowledge. You will learn from our highly skilled teachers and be inspired by the powerful energy of the island. In this course, you will dive deep into the yoga philosophy, learn the asanas with an emphasis on alignment and anatomy and explore the yoga lifestyle in depth.
As a bonus, you will also learn how to run your own yoga retreats and studio, and learn about the power marketing and business side whilst remaining authentic and true to your own unique style. At the successful completion of this course, the students can register with Yoga Alliance International.
